To apply for one of HSB Stockholm’s apartments, you need to be both a member and a housing saver (bosparare). You can read more about housing saving here; HSB Home Saving Account.

HSB owns and manages rental apartments and newly built condominiums in several different neighborhoods in the Stockholm area, so you can easily search for housing in the area you are interested in, as well as the type of housing you prefer. You also have the opportunity to apply for apartments throughout Sweden—regardless of where you are a member—but according to the housing saving rules, you must be a member of the regional association where the apartment is located no later than at the time of signing the contract.

How do I apply for a rental apartment and what are the requirements?

On our website, you can create a subscription and register your interest in the rental apartments you are interested in. Click here to see our available rental apartments; Hyr Bostad

Steps:

1. Make sure you are on the “Hyr Bostad” tab.
2. Enter the city where you want to search for an apartment in the search box.
3. You can customize your search via “Visa sökfilter” if you have specific preferences regarding, for example, number of rooms, monthly rent, or apartment size. If you do not make any adjustments, you will see all available rental apartments.
4. You can now create a subscription for the search to receive email notifications when apartments become available, or click through to a specific available apartment.
5. If you click on an available apartment, you will find more information about the property and can also register your interest. You can follow your registrations when logged in under your rental cases in Mitt HSB.

How does the process work?

When the application deadline for the apartment has passed, viewing offers are sent to the applicants with the highest housing saving points. These applicants can also see their queue position in Mitt HSB.

• As an applicant, you now have the opportunity to respond “yes” or “no” to the apartment and the viewing.
• This is done in Mitt HSB under Min Bostad → Mina intresseanmälningar/Mina erbjudanden.
• You may also receive the offer by email; in that case, respond directly.

Important: If you decline or do not respond to an offer five times within a six-month period, you will automatically be blocked from applying for rental apartments with us for six months. When the block period has expired, you are welcome to apply again.

How do I apply for a condominium?

On our website, you can create a subscription and register your interest in the newly built apartments you are interested in. Click here to see our newly built condominiums.

• Enter the city you are interested in in the search box.
• You will then see a list of ongoing and upcoming projects, where you can register for the desired project(s). If sales are ongoing, you can start the process of buying a home, and for upcoming projects, you will be contacted when sales begin.

Good to know

As a housing saver, your first deposit at Danske Bank must have generated points before you can register interest in available apartments. Your deposit to your housing saving account at Danske Bank generates points at each month-end. In Mitt HSB, under Bospar → Mitt bosparande, you can check whether your first deposit has generated any points yet and always see current information about how many points you have.
