Why have I received a reminder or a debt collection notice?
Have you received a reminder fee?
This means that full payment was not received by the due date. The reminder fee is SEK 60 and is sent out approximately five days after the due date by Ropo. Some examples of why you may have received a reminder fee:
- You have direct debit (autogiro) but did not have sufficient funds in your account when the withdrawal was made.
- You moved into a new condominium and paid the fee using the seller’s invoice.
- You paid the amount a few days after the due date, which resulted in a reminder being sent out.
Have you received a debt collection notice?
A debt collection notice means that you have not paid all or part of your fee or rent on time.
We have sent out a reminder invoice to notify you of the late payment. If it remains unpaid, the matter is automatically forwarded to the debt collection agency Ropo (in exceptional cases, for certain housing cooperatives, the matter is sent directly to the collection agency without a reminder).Payment of reminder or debt collection notice
A reminder or debt collection notice does not generate a credit remark. If you have received a reminder or a debt collection notice, it is important that you pay the new invoice you have received from the collection agency.Contact Ropo if you have questions
